Vale George
George Doran passed away at the age of 95 years on the 8th September 2017. He was a long time fixture at Devonport Football Club games. He had a spot in the grand stand just where the boys enter and leave the change rooms. Due to poor health he has not been able to attend as regularly as he would have liked in the last year or so. Our love and thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP.
Tegan Retires Mitch Resigns
Wow what a night Friday the 25th of August turned out to be. At the conclusion of the last roster game two bombshells were dropped. Tegan announced that she was off to the mainland pursuing a career with the Royal Flying Doctor Service. She had be a trainer for 10 years. Thanks Tegs and good luck.
Mitch, our TSL coach for the past 3 years also announced that he would not be continuing. He said he was finding it extremely difficult with his growing family being in Launceston and his work here on the coast. After two years of taking the team to the finals he embarked on a bold plan of renewal for our team. Great progress has been made and it is disappointing that he will not be here to see the results of the hard work. Good luck -except when you play against the DFC.

Brayden Scott and Dion Scott
1988 Devonport TSL Premiership player Dion Scott visited the club from Brisbane and met and spoke to the current crop of players when our boys played against Hobart City. Dion caught up with his second cousin Brayden Scott who at just 18 years of age is a likely type. Funnily, in the same game Chris Dell's son played for the opposition!
Joey Chaplin, playing his first TSL game v Lauderdale. Presented his jumper by Coach Mitch Thorp.
