Welcome to the Oval
The Devonport Football Club was established as the Formby Football Cub in 1881 and by 1890 it was
formally constituted as the Devonport Football Club. For 120 years the Devonport Football club has been providing a healthy and safe sporting
environment for the youth of the region.
The Club focuses on providing a environment that is family friendly and seeks to work with other organisations in the community to improve
the quality of life for people, in-particular the youth of the region.
Many former Devonport players have gone on to be community leaders and outstanding citizens and in recent years the Devonport Football Club
has produced AFL players of the calibre of Matthew Richardson, Jade & Brady Rawlings and Grant Birchall.
The Club fields Senior, Reserves and under 18s in the AFL State-wide competition and under 17s and under 15’s in the regional junior competition.
The Football Club works closely with the Devonport Athletic Club, the Mersey Cycling Club, Devonport Cricket Club and many community groups
who use the ground and clubroom facilities. Meeting rooms the function room and kitchen are available for use by community groups and or private
functions.
