The Devonport Oval is perfectly positioned on the foreshore in the heart of the City of Devonport. We are Tasmania's third largest city. Situated on the Mersey River we are referred to as the passenger ferry gateway to this beautiful island.
Tasmania is the southern most state of Australia. Enjoying a pristene environment with a temperate climate. Devonport flanks the Mersey river on the North West Coast and enjoys shipping and airline access on its door step.
We have a population base of approximately 28,000 people. We enjoy a mild coastal climate therefore escaping the extremes of summer and winterin other areas of the country. The Oval itself has a wonderful playing surface and is utilized by many other sports such as cricket, atheletics, cycling, our famous Christmas sports carnival and of course football.
The ground can seat approximately 10000 people under cover and many more in outer areas. We can cater for three different clubs at any time, sponsors box, catering facilities and fantastic club rooms with several bars and large dinning area and commercial kitchen. |
